Schedule of Activities
All activities are available free of charge to registered campers and their paid guests Unless otherwise noted.
Keep checking in for updates. Activities subject to change.
Please feel free to use our exchange library located in the Lodge

May  16-18                Clean up weekend. Camp for free this weekend, all we ask is that you help clean-up the site
                                      you stay on.
 
May 16                    Seasonal Supper All Seasonal Campers are invited for the annual spring supper.  Bring a
                                    dish to share and learn of the upcoming season.

May 23 - 26           
Memorial Day Weekend 
                                    DAWGHOUSE PRODUCTIONS music and dancing on the beach Saturday night from 8 pm to 11 pm

June 1                     "Hooked on Fishing, not Drugs"
                                    
Kids Day events, hosted by Kennebec Valley Bass Masters
                                     Line Dancing with Debbie Manning 8pm-10pm.


June 8                       Governor's Cup
 -  MARK PATTERSON
                                     Raffles for March of Dimes -8am - Blast Off


June 14                     HALLOWEEN at the Birches
                                    Trick-or-Treat thru the campground at 7 pm

June 21                    Southern Maine Anglers hosting the Bass Fishing Open to benefit Camp Sunshine
                                    BBQ Cookoff

June 28                  Live Band 8pm-11pm      

June 29 - July 5   INDEPENDENCE DAY WEEK

                                    Children's activities scheduled daily throughout the week
                                    Carnival at the waterfront with Moon Bounce
                                    July 4th - Parade at 10 am; children's bike parade, antique car parade, hay rides, and FUN for all
                                    Fireworks over the lake at 9 pm
                                    DAWGHOUSE PRODUCTIONS  street dance after the fireworks

July 6                       Kennebec Valley Open Bass Fishing Tournament sponsored by the Kennebec Valley Bass Masters

July 19                     CHRISTMAS IN JULY

                                    Santa will arrive by boat at 7pm, and he will be passing out gifts in the Lodge!
                                    Decorate your site Contest.
                                    Street dance (weather permitting) 8 pm to 11 pm

July 23                    RED SOX NIGHT!  (Game starts at 7:05)  Must wear something with the RED SOX on it.
                                    Game will be shown on the big screen.  Snacks for sale.   

July 26                     Fireman's Muster! Enjoy the fun and relaxation whlie bing entertained by our local
                                    Fire Department  The Birches Campground Annual "FIREMAN'S MUSTER" 2pm
                                   Street Dance (weather permitting) 8 pm to 11 pm


        
August 2                 EASTER in August??
                                   Join us for egg decorating activities followed by a Grand Easter Egg Hunt!
                                   Sack race!
                                  DAWGHOUSE PRODUCTIONS  street dance (weather permitting) 8 pm to 11 pm

August 9                 Annual PIG ROAST!
                                   Pot luck style...
The campground supplies the meat and corn-on-the-cob. 
                                   Campers bring complimentary dishes (casseroles, salads and desserts).  
                                   Many thanks to  the  seasonals, the Webbers and the McColletts, for their day-
                                   long preparations and many hours spent over the hot roaster.

August 23             Elks club party
                                  Working class band 8pm-11pm
   
Aug 29 - Sept 1    LABOR DAY WEEKEND
                                   Children's activities will be scheduled throughout the weekend
                                   Saturday - Annual Horse Race in the Lodge 8pm (bring your dimes)
                                   Sunday - Golf Chipping Tournament 1pm (registration time to be announced)
                                   Sunday night - DAWGHOUSE PRODUCTIONS  street dance (weather permitting) 8 pm to 11 pm

Sept 5 & 6               Litchfield Fair Weekend

Sept 13                   Sunday- Pot Luck Dinner in the lodge (bring a dish to share) 1pm

Oct 8                      Columbus Day ... The Birches Family Campground says another farewell to all for the season.
